Food Network – Invention Hunter’s

June 5th, 2012

We were fortunate enough to be on the pilot episode of the original show back in October. Kind of under the radar. No advertisement, no mention on Food Network’s website etc…… but we were selected to go to NY and pitch to Lifetime Brands. The show was picked up by Food Network and a series now produced (with a new name – Invention Hunter’s). We are very pleased to have been included in the new full series.

We also changed our name since the show was originally taped and aired. We have rebranded to the name suggested through the efforts of the original show and the team at Swerve – Air Cork.

As you may have seen on the show, Lifetime Brands was interested in licensing our product. As of this writing, we have not licensed the Air Cork. All involved in the show and the team at Lifetime Brands have been fantastic to get to know. We’ve established some very positive relationships with them all.

The Air Cork is still owned by the original ownership team ! Thanks for the positive feedback and support.

Eric – Congrats on all your success. I would love to speak to you about my product which you can see in my email address (hidden). We have lots of overlapping experiences and it would be great to chat for a few minutes.

Love the product. Can you break down the Shark Tank / Invetion Hunters timeline! Thanks, very interested in how all of this has played out!

I just saw the episode and agree with everyone saying about how they are happy that you kept the company. The sharks clearly saw success in your invention and wanted to take it from you. They have such nerve to drop their offer by $200k just because you didn’t take their first offer quick enough. A decision like that is not made on a whim and they all know that, they were using their high pressure sales technique. As a consumer, I always enjoy buying goods from smaller companies, which is why I plan on buying the now Air Cork for all my upcoming Christmas gifts. I wish you success!

I just saw the re-airing of Shark Tank. I am also confused…. Did the owner retain his business? I sure hope so! They were treating him like dirt, and certainly didn’t care about his future! Everyone of them have more money than they could ever need or use, but to treat someone like that? I am pretty pissed at Mark Cuban! He was the “Ring leader” of the whole thing, and should be ashamed of his behavior!
